In the round of 16 of the DFB Cup, defending champions Bayer 04 Leverkusen have to face record winners Bayern Munich. This was the result of the draw on Sunday (November 3rd, 2024) in the German Football Museum in Dortmund, in which DFB sports director Völler had the role of draw manager and André Schnura, who became known as the “EM saxophonist”, drew the lots.
Another top game is the Bundesliga duel between RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt. Third division team Arminia Bielefeld hosts SC Freiburg as the lowest team in the league. A second division team will certainly reach the quarter-finals because two league rivals, 1. FC Köln and Hertha BSC, meet directly.
