SENIGALLIA – Successful participation in the practical seminar against violence against women organized by Safe Legitimate Defensewhich has been professionally dealing with integrated personal defense for years. In collaboration with the Senigallia ju jitsu school “Ludi e Victoria”, Dls asked three instructors from different disciplines (Jessica Abbrugiati for traditional ju jitsu, Sara Sanna for taekwondo and Arianna Rossi for judo) to lead girls and women without any martial experience to take the first steps in conscious defense aimed at getting out of risky situations.
Techniques and sequences to emerge unscathed from attacks
Two hours of very high intensity in which each instructor interpreted, according to the canons of their own discipline, some technical sequences to escape unscathed from different types of aggression: from being grabbed from behind to being pulled from behind to defense against attempted sexual violence. «In these seminars – explained the lawyer Roberto Paradisi, national coordinator of Difesa Legitimate Sicura – we leave more than teachings that sediment real awareness: on what can be done according to the law, on the idea of legitimacy of a conduct up to to awareness of the reactive capacity of one’s body.
It takes time to learn to defend oneself in compliance with the legal principles of a system that is too penalizing for the victim of aggression. But without a doubt, even a single practical test can make us understand that everyone is potentially capable of not passively playing the role of victim.” The professionalism and availability of the young instructors who followed the practical tests step by step were highly appreciated by all the participants.
