The Dojo du Couserans recently organized a judo and ju-jitsu course aimed at young people, from 4 years old. Three half-days were led and supervised by Laurent Bonzom, a state-certified professional, accompanied by a dynamic team of volunteers, bringing together Xavier Serpault, Damien Cazaux, Egor Moskaliov and Lilian Bonzom. More than twenty students participated in this sports program adapted to each age category. The objective was focused on the overall development of the practitioner at the level: psychomotor and gymnastics, social cohesion, new technical acquisitions (judo, ju-jitsu, refereeing), combativeness, etc. To achieve this, the team set up several fun and educational workshops.
On the program: collective warm-up, obstacle course, team games, technical work in judo and ju-jitsu fighting, combat application. The beginner white belt students as well as the colored belts invested energetically in all the workshops, suggesting a bright future for this new generation of athletes. At the end of the course, the organizers set up a friendly tournament within the club to allow new participants to familiarize themselves with the different stages of a competition (registration, weighing, call of fighters, presentation, greeting and entry of fighters). fighters on the combat surface before the fight, gestures, announcements and decisions of the referee, greeting and exit, etc.). This role-playing stage is very important because it provides participants with the necessary information to approach the competition environment smoothly.
To close the event, parents, practitioners and supervisors enjoyed a friendly and convivial snack. The managers of the Dojo du Couserans salute the commitment of all the trainees as well as the entire management team for the organization of this first annual sporting event.
