In Santiago, Las Cibaeñas Eagles they defeated the Licey Tigers 3-1, to win the weekend miniseries, in a match held Sunday afternoon at the Cibao Stadium.
It was the second victory for the Águilas over Licey in two days and with the same score of 3-1.
A crowd of more than 12,000 fans witnessed the match between the archrivals of Dominican baseball.

In San Pedro de Macorís, Kelvin Gutiérrez had four hits for the first time in his career in the Gigantes del Cibao’s 9-3 victory over the Estrellas Orientales in a twilight game at the Tetélo Vargas Stadium.
Gutiérrez, 30, a native of San Francisco de Macorís, hit a double and three singles to be the fourth batter to go 4-for-4 this season, joining Erubiel Ángeles (Estrellas/Oct 27), Daniel Johnston (Licey/Oct 18) and Jean Segura (Chosen/Oct 25).
He is the first Giants player with four hits since Henrry Urrutia did it in San Pedro de Macorís on December 8, 2023.
