The Colombian Sara Lopez went from less to more until winning the gold medal this Saturday in the compound bow modality of the Archery World Cup disputed in the Mexican city of Tlaxcala.
López reached the ninth title of her career with a 147-146 victory over the Estonian Sea-Marita Pass.
In the final, the Colombian only had three hits in her first six shots and found herself below Pass, but she recovered in her next nine attempts and with consecutive scores of 10, she beat the Estonian.

López defeated the American Alexia Ruiz in the quarterfinals 148-144 and in the semifinals she eliminated the Mexican Andrea Becerra 149-146.
“In the last arrow my mind disconnected from the body, I launched it unconsciously. I chose to enjoy and things happened,” said the new champion.
A few minutes before, the Mexican Dafne Quintero won the bronze medal by defeating his compatriot Andrea Becerra 146-145.
The American James Lutz won the gold medal today by defeating the current champion, the Danish Mathías Fullerton, 150-149.
Lutz defeated the Dutch favorite in the semi-finals Mike Schlossernumber one in the world rankings, and confirmed his moment in the final by defeating the last champion.
The finalists took advantage of the absence of air and threw 13 consecutive darts in the center. With the score at 130-130, Fullerton deflected his arrow to the side on his penultimate attempt, which the American took advantage of to secure the advantage.

The World Cup will continue this Sunday with the recurve bow series with the South Korean Olympic champions Lim Sihyeon and Kim Woojin as favorites.
Sihyeon will face the Olympic medalist and world runner-up, the Mexican Alejandra Valencia, in the quarterfinals. The winner will meet the best of the arm wrestling between the Chinese Yang Xialoei and the Indian Deepika Kumari.
Korean Olympic runner-up Jeon Hunyoung will debut with Japan’s Sonoda Waka. The winner will face the winner of the arm wrestling match between the Mexican Ruiz and the Chinese Li Jiaman.
Woojin will debut against Frenchman Thomas Chirault. In the other series are the Mexican and the Italian Mauro Nespoli.
The current champion, the Brazilian D’Almeida, will face the Spanish Andrés Temiño in the quarterfinals. The winner will face the Olympic bronze medalist, the Korean Lee Woo Seok, or the Indian Dhiraj Bommadevava.
