Scoglitti, baseball bat hidden in car: a Tunisian citizen reported

The checks by the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command continue unabated Ragusawith a particular focus on violations involving weapons and dangerous objects.

On the night of November 13, the Carabinieri of the Scoglitti station, during a road control service, stopped a vehicle driven by a Tunisian citizen, identified as BBR, born in 1994.

During the check, the military verified the regularity of the driving documents and the vehicle. However, suspicious of the driver’s nervous behavior, they decided to investigate further inside the car.

During the search, a wooden baseball bat, approximately 50 cm long, was found hidden behind the driver’s seat.

The bat, detained without any justified reason, was immediately seized. After having fully identified the driver, the Carabinieri referred BBR in a state of freedom to the Judicial Authority for the crime of illegal carrying of objects capable of offending.

The control activity of the territory by the police forces continues, with the aim of guaranteeing public safety and preventing episodes of violence.

The Carabinieri recall the importance of respecting the regulations in force, especially regarding weapons and dangerous objects, to contribute to the safety of the entire community.
