This Saturday, November 16, 2024, the members and employees of the Relecq-Kerhuon Secular Patronage had an appointment for their general assembly. David Ménager, the president, presented, with the members of the office, the various reports. He is satisfied with the 350 memberships spread over the six sporting and cultural activities offered. The association has four physical and sporting activities: badminton, postural stretching, Ultimate and volleyball.
250 badminton members
Badminton is the most important section of the club. “It will take flight as soon as all the steps are taken. It has 250 members,” said the president. Postural stretching brings together 35 members, aged 55 to 88 years old. As for Ultimate, numbers decreased with the departure of the group of young people that the discipline brought together, to continue their studies. “It is possible to come and try this sport at any time,” assures the president. The volleyball section brings together five teams, including beginners: “Specific preparation has been put in place. Please note that one of the teams is exclusively female and that it also benefits from dedicated sessions.”
Two artistic sections
The PLRK also has a porcelain painting section and another for creative arts. “The sessions are currently still taking place at the association’s headquarters, at the old post office, rue Gay-Lussac, but changes are expected. In fact, the premises will be sold, so the activities will have to be moved,” concluded David Ménager.
