Today we bring the interview to Sergio Salido Espejo and Javier Rodríguez Cobos, players from the Badminton Montilla club who, despite their youth, are already going to be badminton coaches and perhaps something else.
Creating and taking care of the quarry should always be the priority for any association, brotherhood and club worth its salt, since not only the successes achieved today or those enjoyed in the past matter, but also the future projection that one has for survival not only of its directive, but the primordial values that founded it.
Montilla Abierta: Very good, first of all age and student curriculum
Javier Rodríguez Cobos: 16 years old, I am currently at the IES Emilio Canalejo Olmeda but before I was at the San Luis and San Ildefonso school
Sergio Salido Espejo: also 16 years old, now I am at the IES Inca Garcilaso but before I was at the Salesianos school
MA: why did you sign up for badminton and what do you like most about this sport?
JRC: I signed up because I liked the sport itself, because there was a very good atmosphere and because my cousin Marta (first silver player) encouraged me to sign up.
SSE: I signed up because my father played and wanted me to follow his hobby and I loved it and stayed
MA: What do you want to be when you grow up?
JRC: I’m not sure but I would like to work helping people or offering a service
SSE: I want to study law to be a notary or work in the courts
MA: Do you like or practice any other sport?
JRC: No, I used to go to the gym to improve performance
SSE: I really like paddle tennis and I have also played soccerl
For the Montilla Badminton Club, the quarry was never a problem since it always had a large group of students and teachers who sooner rather than later had to bear fruit in that which is so precious to any self-respecting associative fabric, the continuity of the legacy. With the help of Sergio Salido Espejo and Javier Rodríguez Cobos we have already seen those fruits that today will become coaches and tomorrow, who knows, even international referees
