The Serie A 2024 it was the 77th edition of the top Italian baseball championship.
In place of the renouncing Cervignano, the Lions Nettuno were brought back.[[1]
As happened the previous year, in the first phase the 30 participants are divided into five groups of six teams.
A novelty is represented by the fact that the six “big” teams of the championship are all included in group A, in which three games of seven innings each are played with a home and away format. The top four in this specific group directly access the championship play-offs, while the last two compete in the preliminary play-off rounds.
The teams in the other groups B, C, D and E instead play two nine-inning matches per week, also in this case with a home and away format. The first-placed teams in each group qualify for the preliminary play-off rounds together with the aforementioned last two teams in group A. All the other teams (i.e. those classified from second to fifth place) in groups B, C, D and E play instead the Poule Salvation, followed by the play-outs.
The four teams qualified from group A and the four teams qualified from the preliminary play-off rounds play the quarter-finals of the play-offs, followed by semi-finals and finals.

Due to Padule’s refusal to play in the play-outs, this phase, instead of being structured around a group of three teams, is transformed into a single series between the other two teams who had finished in last place in their respective Poule group Salvation, or Godo and Turin. The series is played as the best of three matches on the neutral pitch in Reggio Emilia.[[2]
Turin relegated to Serie B.
