Alcázar de San Juan has hosted the zonal qualifying tournament for the final of the state tournament, Spanish Age Championship. The classified players are already among the best in Spain in their category and, among them, are players from Puertollano Table Tennis, distributed by categories and ages, after achieving excellent results.
The Cadet category player, Álex Torrico, began the classification, who would qualify for the state tournament by finishing runner-up in his category.
In the Youth category, José Ramón Fernández would become champion, thus achieving the only qualifying place for the state championship.
In the Senior category, José David would fall in the semifinals, being the only local player who would not rise to the regional podium.
And in the veterans +65 category, the oldest in the competition, the brothers Pepe and Manuel del Campo, would manage to get on the podium as runner-up and third place, respectively, with Pepe achieving his qualification for the state tournament, already among the 40s. best players in Spain of their age.
Next Saturday afternoon the Supermanchega League begins and on Sunday morning in the National First Division we are visited by the Cadiz team from Puerto de Santa María Table Tennis.
