Sinner and Berrettini Lead Italy to Davis Cup Final in Malaga Sports : Tennis

Sinner-Berrettini gave Italy a ticket to the final in Málaga (Spain). World number one players Yannick Sinner and Matteo Berrettini won the singles matches to take defending champion Italy to the final of the Davis Cup tennis tournament. On their strength, Italy defeated Australia 2-0 on Saturday. Sinner defeated world number nine Alex de Minaur 6-3, 6-4 to win his 24th consecutive singles match at the tour level. This is Sinner’s ninth consecutive win in nine matches against Minor. Berrettini had earlier given Italy a winning start by defeating Thanasi Kokkinakis 6-7, 6-3, 7-5. The Italian team will face Netherlands in the title match on Sunday, which has made it to the final for the first time by defeating Germany in the semi-finals.
