The Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL) fell to their third consecutive loss due to poor offense again.

The Bears lost 3-19 in a home game against the New England Patriots held at Soldier Field in Chicago on the 10th.

The Bears, who had maintained a winning percentage of .500 with 4 wins and 4 losses before this game, had a total offensive yardage of only 142 yards against the Patriots (2 wins and 7 losses), less than half of the Patriots’ (328 yards). The Bears also continued the stigma of not scoring in the first quarter for the past four consecutive games.

Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams completed 16 of 30 pass attempts and recorded 120 passing yards on this day, but the offensive line was unable to properly prevent Williams from being sacked 9 times.

Considering the Bears’ remaining season schedule, NFL experts believe that the odds of them losing all of their remaining games and finishing with only 4 wins and 13 losses are higher than the odds of recording a season winning percentage of .500.

In addition, it was expected that most of the coaching staff, including coach Matt Iberplus, would be fired after this season.

Coach Iberplus said after the game on the 10th, “As a coach, all responsibility lies with me,” but added, “But there is still enough time left in the season, and I will do my best in every game to win.”

However, experts are already weighing Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken, and Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury as the next Bears coach.
