Brest started with a clear tactic from the start. He didn’t rush anywhere, he waited for the Letenskýs to hesitate or for a standard situation. It worked for Sparta, as apart from Jakub Pešek‘s chance in the 16th minute, they did not create any great opportunities.
On the contrary, the guests threatened. First, Ludovic Ajorque ran away from captain Filip Panák, got to the long kick first and narrowly missed the far post with a cross from an angle. Subsequently, Kamory Doumbia appeared in a great chance, but his finish from the area immediately in front of goalkeeper Peter Vindal was not successful at all. The penalty came in the 37th minute. The deflected corner only reached Edimilson Fernandes, who was left all alone on the penalty and opened the scoring with a hard shot from the first.

Letenský extended the series of miserable results that has been going on since the end of September.
