“Last Sunday’s result at Aston Villa gave us a well-deserved and well-deserved three points,” she says.
“I thought in the first half we could have scored a few more points and been really out of sight, but it was a very important win after the international break which allowed us to prepare for the next set of matches.
“Both goals were excellent, going from back to front with everyone involved and some great play which saw Taylor finish two wonderful goals. It was really nice to see us score two such great team goals.
“A special mention to Rachael Laws, who got the team moving from the first goal. Lawsy is exceptional with her feet. The change of pace caused by that pass was excellent and she is a phenomenal baseball player. Having someone like him who can dictate the game and set the pace is a major asset for us
.
“She made two big saves in the second half, one with her feet and then a diving save against Miri Taylor. She understands the game very well and I was delighted for Lawsy, because sometimes people spot a mistake very quickly, especially when it’s a goalie, such a difficult position
.
“She was excellent and helped us get the three points.
“I was also happy for Hannah Silcock, who came on and helped us see the game through. She is a technically gifted player and I think she can step into this role very easily and has done a great job after arriving
.
“It’s not an easy scenario, especially as a young player, so to do as well as she did is a testament to her.” She is a quality player and I was delighted that Hannah was able to continue and contribute to the victory. »
