Last Saturday, on November 16th, 2024, volunteer members were honored at the SportJugend Gratia of the State Sports Association in the Manfred von Richthofen House. The Gratia was about recognizing and honoring special volunteers from the club who are particularly involved in the club and support it. This included not only judo but also our friends from karate. The evening was decorated with a colorful program and delicious food and four of our committed members were honored. Accompanied by our honorary member Harry Klempert, our members received the following honors:
Robert Schumkow (Karate) receives the SportJugend-Gratia in Gold for his voluntary work as a trainer for karate, athletics, children’s sports and Zumba and for the numerous events on the weekend, which he carries out with great passion.
Boris Heizenreder (Karate) received the Sportjugendgratia in silver for his voluntary work as a karate trainer and running karate camps for over 10 years.
Madeline Hoffmann and Soraya Spickenagel received the “Young Volunteer of the Year” award. The two of them have not only been to every tournament this year to support them, but are also members of the junior team, which was only founded this year. In addition to their school, they also help as assistant coaches in at least two schools.
We thank everyone for their voluntary commitment!
