Thanksgiving will be celebrated this weekend in the United States: it is always a very important period for Americans… and also for NFL fans.

Listen to sports columnist Yanick Bouchard, who talks about the important duels in the NFL which take place this Thursday. He particularly highlights the clash between the powerful Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears in the afternoon.

As for the National Hockey League, it leaves plenty of room for the NFL.

Yanick Bouchard points out that the Thanksgiving period is a good indicator of which teams will participate in the NHL playoffs, if they started today.

The teams that would qualify include: the Panthers, Bruins, Hurricanes, Capitals, Devils, Rangers and Lightning.
