Governor Rutilio Escandón Cadenas presented the State Sports Award (PED) and incentives to medalists from Primera Fuerza and Paranacionales Conade 2024, whom he recognized for bringing great results to Chiapas and being an example for future generations.
“Chiapas sportsmen and women have given very good results at the national and world level. When you professionally dedicate yourself to high-performance sports, in addition to all the benefits for you, we Chiapas and Mexicans enjoy it, they make us vibrate, they motivate us, they excite us and they also make it possible for girls, boys and young people to practice it to build a better society,” he noted.
He highlighted the effort, sacrifice and hours of training to carry out their aspirations, which is why he celebrated being able to contribute so that the athletes continue walking and raising the name of Chiapas, not only at the national and Pan American level but in the most important sporting event. important event in the world, such as the Olympic Games. “These awards and incentives are nothing more than justice for you,” he said.
Meanwhile, the general director of the Sports Institute, Tania Robles Velázquez, stated that although the call for the State Sports Award indicated 110 thousand pesos to be distributed among winners, the National Commission of Physical Culture and Sports (Conade) decided to deliver only 22 thousand to the athlete and coach who receive the award for the first time.
However, the State Government delivered 132 thousand pesos to complete 55 thousand pesos to the winner and first-time winner, as well as 22 thousand pesos to the three remaining winners.
Likewise, he reported that incentives corresponding to 572 thousand pesos were delivered, of which, 312 thousand pesos were allocated to medal-winning athletes of the Conade 2024 Paranationals; and 260 thousand pesos for Primera Fuerza athletes and coaches.
For his part, coach Luis Alberto Damas Martínez, winner of the 2024 State Sports Award, expressed his joy and gratitude to Governor Rutilio Escandón and the sports authorities for their support and for this recognition of his career as a Judo coach.
It should be noted that the winners of the PED 2024 are: in the athlete category, Rubí Aguilar Montejo, from Luchas Asociadas; María Fernanda Cruz Bolom, from Judo; and Luis Mario Nájera Vleeschower, from Parataekwondo. While in the trainer category: Luis Alberto Damas Martínez, from Judo and Quintín Gerardo Vázquez López, from Luchas Asociadas.
In attendance: Alexandra Herrera Velasco, taekwondo player and national Primera Fuerza medalist; Fabiola del Pérez Zenteno, winner of two gold medals in the Parapowerlifting of the Conade 2024 Para Nationals; Ronay de Jesús Ruiz Martínez, Parapowerlifting coach of the Conade 2024 Para Nationals, as well as family and friends of the winners, among others.
