He steals 20 jars of honey, together with the previous day’s takings, from an organic products shop, but is discovered and reported by the police. The investigations started from the complaint lodged by the owner of the commercial activity at the complaints office of the “Borgo- Ognina” public safety police station. In particular, the victim told the officers that, when he opened the shop, he found the entrance door forced, noting the lack of 20 jars of honey and the previous day’s takings which were kept inside the cash register. .
The images from the video surveillance cameras allowed the police to reconstruct the dynamics of the events. In particular, taking advantage of the night hours, a man with a baseball hat, after having cut the barbed wire of the external fence that delimited the area pertaining to the commercial business, had forced the entrance door and entered the shop, taking the proceeds as well as the honey from a display counter.
After hiding the stolen items inside an envelope, he quickly left the place. From a careful analysis of the videos, the officers managed to recognize the perpetrator of the theft, as he was a 47-year-old subject to prevention measures. The man was reported for aggravated theft and violation of the special surveillance measure.
