Armando Giuffrè takes first place in the prestigious national Guerin Subbuteo event in Reggio Calabria, at the end of a practically perfect tournament. In the final the Peloritan prevailed 4-1 against the rising star of the national subbuteo Nicolò Colossi. An important success for the captain of the Giallorossi team.
The Guerin, in fact, is one of the most important tournaments on the FISCT circuit (Italian Sports Table Football Federation); at the end of the competitive season, the winners of the special ranking resulting from this specific type of competition are awarded at the headquarters of the famous Roman sports periodical by the newspaper’s director Ivan Zazzaroni.
Great satisfaction, therefore, in Messina Table Soccer for Giuffrè’s victory. Satisfaction also increased by the team competition the following day, in which the Peloritans (Giuffrè himself, Alessandro and Riccardo Natoli, Giuseppe Frasca and Gianluca Giliberto) reached an important final (after having eliminated Cosenza in the semi-final), surrendering only to Barcelona. The behavior of the subsidiary team, Zancle (Antonio Campagna, Salvatore Currò, Gaetano Ielapi and Dario Marabello), was also excellent, as it passed the group and only surrendered to the parent team in a fratricidal clash.
All eyes now on the regional tournament which will be held in Messina, on 29 December, at the “Antonino Sciarrone” headquarters.
