As the only girl from Gerwisch, Britta Fritsche once again faced her opponents with determination and secured bronze. As the youngest competitor from Gerwisch, Oleksandr Kuschnir showed how judo works and also secured bronze. With very nice combinations and the motto “never give up”, Jannik Müller, as well as Teo Richter, who routinely stood calmly on the mat, won the well-deserved bronze medal.
Till Naumann’s opponents once again had no chance. With technical sophistication, speed and a fair will to fight, Till won gold again.
The oldest judokas didn’t give anything away and things were tough. Felix Fritsche also felt this. Despite this, Felix persevered and won the well-deserved bronze medal. Edgar Trantzschel also faced experienced competitors, but he was not impressed by them and thus secured the silver he deserved.
A special thank you goes to Inga Naumann, Antje Richter and Thomas Trantzschel, who traveled with us as supervisors and actively supported their judokas. A very special thank you goes to Ben Richter, who, thanks to his own competition experience, confidently supported the Gerwian judokas from the edge of the mat and thus represented the trainers at least on an equal footing.
