16 November 2024 – Another weekend of emotions for ASD Il Cancello Alghero which, in the D2 championship, prevailed with a hard-fought 4-2 against Table Tennis Sassari C. The victory, the result of technique and determination, confirms the value of the Alghero team and turns the spotlight on a discipline that is increasingly followed in our city. The match, played in an atmosphere of sportsmanship and intensity, saw Claudio Ruggiu and Fabrizio Piras as protagonists for Il Cancello Alghero, both victorious against Mattia Mura, giving the team two precious points. The real revelation was Angelo Nearco, author of a splendid brace which confirms his constant growth and projects him among the pillars of the team. Also worth highlighting is the commitment of Giuseppe Pirisi, who despite the defeat against Giovanni Fadda showed great fighting spirit. A weekend break, however, for the D1 team, which is preparing with determination for the next championship matches.
