More than 530 athletes with intellectual disabilities from all over Catalonia participate, This Sunday, November 17, in the Catalan Basketball Championship of the Catalan Sports Federation for People with Intellectual Disabilities – ACE. He Palau d’Esports Catalonia of the Mediterranean Ring will be the setting for this day full of sport and inclusion that has the collaboration of Tarragona Esports.
The championship, which will start at 9:45 a.m. and will last until 6 p.m., will feature the participation of 53 teams representing more than thirty entities from all over Catalonia. Once all the matches are over, the awards ceremony will begin to recognize the best teams in each category, as well as the work and effort of all participants, with trophies for all teams.
During the day, the teams will proudly represent their entities and show off the values of adapted sport. One of the main objectives of this event is to promote inclusive sport and raise awareness of the entities that work every day to offer opportunities to people with intellectual disabilities.
