Team 2 overthrows the table leader and loses against Solingen – TVR Badminton

It was supposed to be three points last weekend and the TV Refrath 2nd team achieved exactly this goal. The double game day at home began on Saturday with the guest appearance of league leaders Sterkrade-Nord, who had come to Refrath with weakened personnel. This and many strong performances on Refrather’s side ultimately ensured a 5-2 win for TVR.

The first men’s doubles Kausemann/Peters as well as the women Selin Hübsch and Flora Wang performed particularly well on this day. The 17-year-old Dutchwoman impressed in her first appearance for TV Refrath.

The following day, STC Solingen, a team from the bottom of the table came to Refrath with the best line-up. After the first men’s doubles and the women’s doubles went to Solingen almost at the same time, it quickly became clear that a victory for the TVR was a long way off that day.

Once again it was Flora Wang and the mixed Kausemann/Hübsch who, like the Stupplich/Peters doubles, were able to achieve victories. Heinz Kelzenberg: “All the players gave their best, including Elias Beckmann and Fritz Binus, who unfortunately remained winless on Sunday, but Solingen is simply very strong with this line-up with the two Belgians.”

In the three remaining games against neighbors Beuel 2 and the two teams in the relegation zone, TV Refrath would like to collect a lot of points this year.
