Tegola Thunder, Chet Holmgren out at least two months

The Oklahoma City Thunder they began the season with the clear intention of sending a signal to the rest of the NBA, partially succeeding with eight wins in nine games before tonight.

Just tonight a major obstacle arose which will affect at least the next two months of their year.

The fall after this fight with Andrew Wiggins gave Holmgren a broken hip, which will keep him out, according to Shams Charania of ESPN, for at least two to two and a half months.

The Thunder, who were already quite short in the big man rotation, will have to find uncomfortable solutions quickly to stay in the top positions of the Western Conference.

These, meanwhile, were the words posted by Chet on his X account:

I don’t know if I feel better or worse, having gone through something similar before. On the one hand I know how to deal with it, I know what to do and what not to do. But on the other hand I felt the frustration of this process, and the wear and tear on my mind. I’m sorry I won’t be able to help my teammates and play for our fans and supporters for a while. Everyone who stands by me and our team, along with my need to play basketball, is a big part of my desire to return. Don’t pity me or feel guilty, there are many people out there with real problems that don’t heal. Anyway, sorry for my outburst, I just wanted to address our fans and OKC family.

Thoughts from the hospital bed…
