Last weekend was another busy one for the competitors of the Briolet Tennis Club who fought valiantly on the different courts across the four corners of the department. On the tennis side, while the women’s team was exempt, the men’s team playing in division 3 hosted its Tennis counterpart Padel Alairac in Malepère. It was a first for these competitors to play on the new, freshly renovated grounds of the town.
Despite new courts full of comfort, the Palajanais lost with a score of 4 to 2 against the Alairacoise team. At the level of padel, four teams were on deck. Team 1 narrowly lost to Aréa Narbonne, the same for team 2 which lost in the decisive super tie-break against the team from the Carcassonne structure Le Paradis.
Jean-Yves’ team 3 won an indisputable victory, 3-0 against the Canet Saint-Marcel club and team 4 failed to win against Gruissan.
Well done to all the competitors!
