Tennis player Nguyen Thuy Linh enters quarterfinals of international badminton tournament in Germany

The Hylo International Badminton Open takes place from October 29.10 to November 3.11 in Saarbrücken (Germany). This tournament belongs to the World Tour Super 300 system of the Badminton World Federation (BWF), like the Vietnam Open badminton tournament of which Nguyen Thuy Linh is the defending champion.

At the Hylo International Badminton Open, Nguyen Thuy Linh is currently ranked 31st in the world, selected as the number 4 seed in the women’s singles event. In the first round, unit player Dong Nai defeated Rachel Darragh (Ireland, 97th in the world rankings) with a score of 2-0 (August 21, 8). In the second round held on the evening of October 2118, Nguyen Thuy Linh beat tennis player Keisha Fatimah Azzahra (Azerbaijan, 31.10th in the world) with a score of 67-2 (0/21, 13/21).

Facing lower-ranked and less-skilled players, the No. 1 player in Vietnam asserted his strength, dominated the competition, and achieved the goal of winning and maintaining his physical strength for the next round. The Ho Chi Minh City player is currently ranked 69th in the world and has was selected as the number 5 seed in the men’s singles event. He won 2 matches, reaching the quarter-finals directly, against tennis player Sholeh Aidil (Malaysia, 124th in the world).
