In the middle of the night, Taylor Fritz and his celebrity girlfriend receive an unexpected visitor in London. She documents the events on Instagram.
Bad surprise for tennis pro Taylor Fritz and his girlfriend Morgan Riddle. Like the 27-year-old at Instagram published that the two were the target of an attempted break-in while in London.
On Saturday morning, the influencer (407,000 followers) published photos and a video of the scenes from the rented accommodation in England’s capital.
Riddle describes attempted break-in
A silver car with its lights on is parked on the street in front of the apartment. The courtyard gate is also open. Riddle captioned the photo, “At 4am this morning, Taylor and I woke up to someone trying to enter the code and break down the front door of our Airbnb apartment in London.”
Another photo reveals that someone removed the front door’s security chain. Riddle also posted a picture of Fritz, number six in the world rankings, standing on a chair in just his boxer shorts, looking out the window. There is a tennis racket next to him.
Broadside against rental
Reason enough for Riddle to denounce Airbnb: “Airbnb is SO unsafe. They are deliberately targeted in many cities. The houses are nice for long stays, but please just stay in a hotel if you are traveling alone or with just girls. I vowed never to stay in one again after my past experiences and clearly haven’t learned my lesson.”
By past experiences, Riddle meant a negative experience from the summer. “In July of this year, I was staying in an Airbnb and my friend and I witnessed someone actively robbing our home,” Riddle said.
