Swiatek wins clearly, but is eliminated
The Pole managed to win her last group game at the ATP Finals, but still failed to qualify for the semi-finals.

Iga Swiatek (WTA 2) showed a strong performance in her last group game at the ATP Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, defeating Darja Kassatkina (WTA 9) 6:1, 6:0 in just 51 minutes. Nevertheless, the Pole missed the semi-finals because in the other group game Barbora Krejcikova (WTA 13) won against Coco Gauff (WTA 3) 7:5, 6:4 and thus finished the group first. In second place is Gauff, who qualified for the semi-finals before the last match day and won the direct duel against Swiatek two days ago.
In Friday’s semi-final, Krejcikova will face Qinwen Zheng (WTA 7), while Gauff will face world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.
