Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: Yash Verma of UP created a big upset in the pre-quarterfinals of the SBI IATA Tennis Tournament on Tuesday and made it to the quarterfinals. UP’s unseeded player Yash Verma packed his bags after defeating eighth seeded Aditya Kothari of Delhi in an easy match 6-2, 6-2 in the pre-quarterfinals of the tournament. Apart from this, third seed Eklavya Singh of UP entered the quarter-finals by defeating Arjun Abhyankar of Maharashtra 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 in a close match. In the tournament being played at Unnad Tennis Academy located in Ashiana, Haryana’s top seed Jagmeet, Nitihan, Gagan Vimal, Tanik Gupta, Shaurya and Sarthak have made it to the quarter finals.

– Haryana’s top seeded player Jagmeet Singh defeated UP’s Yershath Chadha 6-0, 6-1.
– Third seed Eklavya Singh of UP defeated Arjun Abhyankar of Maharashtra 3-6, 6-1, 6-1.
Yash Verma of UP defeated eighth seed Aditya Kothari of Delhi 6-2, 6-2.
Nithilan of Karnataka defeated Srivanth Mummadi of Telangana 6-3, 6-3.
Gagan Vimal of Tamil Nadu defeated Vansh Arora of Delhi 6-0, 6-0.
