Italy’s tennis star Jannik Sinner is a semi-finalist before his final group game at the season finale of the ATP Tour. The 23-year-old world number one benefited Turin from the outcome of the duel between the American Taylor Fritz and the Australian Alex de Minaur. Fritz won in three sets 5:7, 6:4, 6:3 and thus helped Sinner advance early.
US Open finalist Fritz still has to worry about his place in the top four and is dependent on Sinner’s performance. In the evening match (8.30 p.m./Sky) between the Italian world number one Sinner and Daniil Medvedev from Russia, the final placings in the group will be decided. The winless de Minaur alone has no chance of progressing.
