Three professionals from VfB Stuttgart were at the DFB team’s training ground in Frankfurt on Tuesday – one was missing and only completed his exercises in the fitness room.

Angelo Stiller had already trained individually in the fitness room on Monday afternoon – on Tuesday morning the same picture emerged on the DFB campus in Frankfurt: The VfB Stuttgart midfielder was again missing from the training ground for the national team’s unit. The reason is muscle problems. It remains to be seen whether Stiller will be ready for the Nations League game against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Freiburg next Saturday (8.45 p.m./RTL). It will be decided day by day whether Stiller can return to team training, DFB circles said.

The VfB attackers Deniz Undav and Jamie Leweling had to cancel their participation in the last two international matches of the year due to injuries (the DFB team will face Hungary next Tuesday). The remaining nominated Stuttgart national players – goalkeeper Alexander Nübel, left-back Maximilian Mittelstädt and left-winger Chris Führich – were on the training pitch in Frankfurt on Tuesday morning.

In addition to Stiller, national coach Julian Nagelsmann also had to do without Florian Wirtz, who was ill (infection), for the session; In contrast to Stiller, the Leverkusen player stayed in the hotel. On Tuesday, Nagelsmann had a total of 18 field players and three goalkeepers at his disposal. This also included Serge Gnabry from FC Bayern, who arrived late for personal reasons.
