The company specialized in sports data Sporty released this Saturday a ranking in which it reveals the highest paid sports coaches in the United States in 2024. Up to six NFL coaches appear on the list within the top 10.
The ranking is led by the coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, Andy Reid, who receives an annual salary of $20 million dollars for directing Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and company.
In the second box appears Sean Payton, who won Super Bowl XLIV with the New Orleans Saints and who currently directs the Denver Broncos with whom he has an agreement with for $18 million dollars annually.
Only in the third box does an NBA coach appear. Well, this place is occupied by Steve Kerr, who with the Golden State Warriors receives $17.5 million dollars per season.while in fourth position Gregg Popovich, also in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs, appears with $17 million dollars a year.
In fifth place, tied with $16 million dollars per season, are Mike Tomlin, coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Jim Harbaugh, of the Los Angeles Chargers.
In position seven, eight and nine there are three tied coaches. These are: Erik Spoelstra, of the Miami Heat; Tyronn Lue, Los Angeles Clippers; both NBA coaches; and Sean McVay of the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams. All three with $15 million dollars per campaign.
Closing the top 10 of the highest-paid coaches in American sports is Kyle Shanahan, who coaches the San Francisco 49ers.
The list you published Sporty It extends to the 50 highest-paid coaches. In which 13 coaches from the NFL, 13 from the NBA, 21 coaches from college football, two from college basketball and one from Major League Baseball (MLB) appear.
