Well on board for the moment, the Lakers could take advantage of the season to recruit new players. The sector appears to be a priority today, with two people mentioned. A trend that comes up very often.
With 6 victories and 4 defeats, the start of the season Lakers is rather promising, especially when we take absences into account. Jarred Vanderbilt is still not there, as is Christian Wood, who is an important partner in the paint alongside Anthony Davis. For his part, the former Pelican refuses to play as a full-time pivot.
For the regular season at least, the Angelinos must therefore have alternatives. Christian Koloko has been signed, but otherwise there are few solutions for JJ Redick, who must do his best to keep the interior sector afloat. He could have some help soon, at least if the front office takes action by NBA.
Recruits soon for the Lakers?
There have already been a lot of rumors in recent weeks at the Lakers, but a trend is emerging quite strongly with potential pivots on the market. Two names stand out according to information from Dave McMenamin for ESPN, who believes that a trade is likely. We may have to wait until the February deadline though.

Dave McMenamin : “You’re keeping an eye on a name like Jonas Valanciunas, who is most certainly on the Lakers’ radar. We’ll see how Washington’s season goes. There is also Portland which has a terrible start to the season, with Robert Williams III who is in the debates. »
Two pivots to strengthen the Angelinos racket, but these are only rumors for the moment. It remains to be seen whether Rob Pelinka will achieve something interesting.
In the comments, the reactions are quite mixed, especially since Williams has been a bit disappointing lately. Others believe on X that Valanciunas would be an excellent choice and that’s good, since the Wizards should look to trade him.
@wrldoftatum : “The Blazers are idiots if they trade Rob Williams”
7sail_ : “Valanciunas with the Lakers, that would be absolutely crazy”
@_Old_Monk__ : “Both players would be a solid addition for the Lakers if they decide to take action. Both bring size and defense, and the Lakers’ interior would be even stronger. »
@RedickGotNext : “That’s not how you write “Walker Kessler” but why not. »
After several weeks of competition, it seems that the Lakers have made the interior sector a priority, especially with Anthony Davis around. All that remains is to find the rare pearl on the market.
