Beginner judokas from all over Mexico will gather in Morelia, Michoacán, to be part of the 4th Lenia Ruvalcaba Rookie Cup 2024, a tournament organized by the triple Paralympic medalist to promote and motivate this martial art among practitioners who have started in the discipline.
The headquarters of this event will be the CDER Multipurpose Auditorium of the aforementioned capital on Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24, with the endorsement of the Mexican Judo Federation (FMJ) and the support of the Michoacana Judo Association, the DIF Michoacán and the State Commission of Physical Culture and Sports (CECUFID) of this entity.
The 4th Lenia Ruvalcaba Rookie Cup 2024 is open to all judokas from the State Associations affiliated with the FMJ, in the mini, baby, pre-child, sub-13, sub-15, sub-18, sub-21 categories. and the first force with the highest degree of Judo orange belt, without any federated national competition.
This tournament organized by Lenia Ruvalcaba, who won a Silver medal at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games, a Gold medal at Rio 2016 and a Bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, among other national and international awards, aims to motivate people who are just starting out. in the practice of judo to maintain and follow their training, as well as to promote martial discipline.
