For the 8th day of the championship, Avenir Saint-Romain hosted the reservists from Sources Aveyron in Bourran this Sunday, November 10.
To confirm the first victory obtained last weekend, the Yellow and Black presented a group of 14 players for the first time since the start of the season, unlike the visitors who only came with 12.
The Saint-Romains attacked the match well and, despite numerous missed opportunities and inaccuracies in the last gesture, they opened the scoring from a penalty, transformed by Damien Gaubert in the 30th minute. From that moment on, 15 minutes of generosity and defensive hesitation cost 2 goals from set pieces. Half-time is whistled with a score of 2 to 1 in favor of the visitors.
After the break, the Yellow and Black resumed their domination, which they achieved by equalizing thanks to Simon Bezes. A period of domination then followed, interrupted by the visitors’ solid defense until the 70th minute. In turn, Hugo Gineste, Mika Vernhette’s, Jose Bedos et Simon Bezes will find the net for a final score of 6 to 2.
The victory on November 3 seems to have served as a trigger for the club, which travels to Costecalde on Saturday November 16.
