The national interclubs smile at the Loir-et-Chériens clubs.
After the last day of the weekend, the Salbris and Blois teams are respectively in first place in their N2 and N3 groups!
“An option for the climb play-offs”
To take sole lead of its National 2 group, the Salbris pennant team won 8-0 in the derby against Orléans. And it is the offensive bonus and the draw between Lyon and Oullins which allows the Salbrisiens to be the only ones first. Note that Saturday’s one-sided meeting against neighboring Loiretain got off to a good start. Winning mixed doubles thanks to Korosi pairs – Prouvost and Novak – Michel gave the lead, before the ladies’ singles allowed a break.
Noah Bulut’s single 2 was then tight but was controlled in three innings by Solognot. Then singles 1 and women’s doubles also managed well to put Salbris at 7-0. The offensive bonus was played on the men’s doubles of the Prouvost – Bulut pair. After a difficult second round, the two friends recovered and won, to the great pleasure of the spectators. For President Julien Piquemal, the objective of the day was achieved: “We alone take first place in the group with an option for the promotion play-offs. » The next meeting in Bourges, last in the group, could consolidate this first place.
Blois’ perfect season continues
In Nationale 3, the Blois team also continues its perfect season. Faced with direct competitors on the rise, the Blésois were able to show determination this weekend by winning 6-2 against the Clermont-Ferrand reserve. They have thus consolidated their first place and are now four points ahead of Limoges, the next opponent on November 30. Note that only the ordinary men went to the Clermont side.
With this good result, Blois puts a real option on the play-offs with a view to moving up to Nationale 2. The next day will clearly set the trend on this objective.
For its part, the Salbrisian reserve logically lost against Val d’Europe, candidate for promotion to N2. Despite encouraging sets and matches, Salbris was unable to prevent the 8-0 defeat on home soil. The next day on November 30 in Paris will be very important in trying to maintain chances of remaining in N3: Paris 20 being three points ahead of Salbris, in the first non-relegation position.
