On this special and unique occasion, we asked Benjamin Blümchen a few questions about the American Football and NFL Munich Game 2024:
Exclusive interview with Benjamin Blümchen about the partnership with the NFL:
Hey Benjamin, it’s a surprise that you’re here. I didn’t even know you liked football. What do you like about it?
“Ho-ho…football is great for big and strong people. And I am a big and strong elephant and particularly good at defending. Otto can run fast and throw balls well.“
That’s exciting. How did you first hear about football?
„Otto played flag football in school. I watched it. It’s like football, only without the collisions. You have to pull a little flag from each other’s belts.”
Do you actually know that there is a very special game taking place here in Munich this weekend?
“Yes, there is a team from New York playing against a team from Carolina in the stadium. They came here from America specifically for this. There are a lot of football fans like me here. Törööö!”
That’s right, this weekend the Carolina Panthers are playing, i.e. the Panthers against the New York Giants, i.e. against the giants. Do you also have a favorite team in the NFL?
“Unfortunately there is no Elephant team in the NFL yet. But if there is one, they would be my favorite team. Best of all, the Newtown Elefants with Otto as quarterback! Ho-ho!”
