The chances of the Uzbekistan national football team to qualify for the 2026 World Cup are 86.7%, reports Schrödinger Sports.
According to the We Global Football portal, experts estimate the team’s ability to take first place in Group A at 8%, and second at 78%.
The leading positions among candidates for leaving the Asian zone are occupied by Japan (100%), Iran (99.6%) and South Korea (99.2%). Uzbekistan is in fourth position according to this indicator.
Recently, the Uzbekistan team defeated the North Korean team with a score of 1:0. The only goal of the match was scored by Abbosbek Faizullaev in the 44th minute. In the 83rd minute, the referee showed a red card to Uzbekistan defender Umar Eshmuradov and awarded a penalty against his team. However, Uzbekistan goalkeeper Utkir Yusupov saved the shot, maintaining the winning score and securing three points for his team.
Based on the results of six rounds of the third round of qualifying, the Uzbekistan team scored 13 points, strengthening its position in the fight for access to the 2026 World Cup, and leaving for the winter break in second place in the group after Iran.
