Dame Sarr: career and statistics with Barcelona in La Liga and Euroleague · Basketball
Born in Oderzo (TV) on 4 June 2006, Elhadji Dame Sarr he started playing basketball in his hometown, and then moved to Bassano.
With Orange1 Bassano, he competes in the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague group, averaging 13.2 points with almost 44% from three points. From there, he makes the big leap to Barcelonain 2022. A year later, he entered the All-Tournament Team of the NextGen Euroleague tournament in Zadar, already as a Catalan player.
He started in the Blaugrana cantera, playing for Barça B, and then made his first team debut as early as January 2023. In a La Liga match against Granada, his 24 seconds on the pitch made him the second youngest debutant in Barcelona’s history in the Liga ACB, at 16 years, 7 months and 18 days.
In the following season, he will also make his Euroleague debut, against Panathinaikos. A second appearance will follow, against Zalgiris Kaunas, for a total of two matches played in his debut year in the top continental competition.
In the 2024/25 Euroleague season, the Italian has already played five games (all off the bench) for 2.2 points on average (with 55.6% from the field) in just over five and a half minutes per game.
In his first appearance of the season, Sarr contributed with a very heavy triple in Barcelona’s 90-83 success over ASVEL (76-71 for the French).

His best performance, on the tenth day, against Paris Basketball: 6 points, 3/4 shooting and two rebounds on the scoresheet. In La Liga, however, he has played three games this year, averaging nine minutes on the pitch.
