The famous reality TV show “Love is blind”, adapted in several countries, will now have its French version. According to information revealed by the newspaper The ParisianNetflix has reportedly recruited the couple formed by five-time Olympic judo gold medalist, Teddy Riner, and his wife, Luthna Plocus, to host the reality show. As in other versions of the show, the French couple will have to give the example of a solid and happy marriage to the candidates while guiding them through the trials.
The principle of the show is based on the blind datinga concept which consists of meeting someone without actually seeing them. Around fifteen male and female candidates meet in individual capsules, talking for several days, without ever seeing each other, the goal being to prove if love is blind. And if this turns out to be the case, each couple who have formed “blindly” will then have to meet in person and take the plunge of marriage. In the meantime, they will first have to spend a mock honeymoon together, then organize their wedding in real life before reaching an official act.

According to The Parisian«the teams and candidates are currently filming in Morocco, after a detour to Sweden, where the lofts are located“. It’s a safe bet that the scenes currently filmed in Morocco are those of the first vacation as a couple spent together by the candidates, in a heavenly setting.
The choice of Teddy Riner for a program filmed in Morocco is all the more interesting as the judo champion has a particular love for this country, and in particular for Marrakech where he lives for a large part of the year. “I love this city, this country, Morocco. The weather is nice, I have ideal training and living conditions, and Moroccan and French opponents who challenge me on a daily basis. With age, I understood that my living environment was essential to my success», he confided to the magazine Gala.
A craze for Morocco which he also returned to in the show “66 Minutes”, on M6: «When I have a little recovery time, I like to go to the desert with my family. There aren’t many little moments like that. It recharges my batteries… We take a little walk, we eat there. It feels good before leaving for the next workout».
This new, highly anticipated season follows “Love is Blind Habibi”, the Emirati version of the show which was a great success in Morocco and the MENA region, notably for having seen the participation of three Moroccan candidates who did not fail to spice up the program.
