On the sun deck, flashing robots bring the piña colada to the sun lounger, which a mechanical colleague behind the bar has previously mixed. We enjoy our vacation on the climate-neutral cruise ship powered by batteries and bio-methanol. Gone are the days when we had to chase a service employee or queue at the bar, because we can do everything conveniently via an on-board app. So we order our cappuccino by the pool as well as the five-course menu in the restaurant in the evening. After we got up, we no longer saw the robot covering and wiping the table. Because we want to explore the National Archaeological Museum of Naples in the on-board café with virtual reality glasses and tomorrow we want to fly a drone over the excavation site of Pompeii in our cabin. Is this what the world of cruising will look like in fifteen years? Or will things turn out completely differently?
