The Monegasque Judo Federation will also celebrate its 50th anniversary.
The tournament of one of the best-known combat sports returns to the Principality. The Omnisports Hall of the Stade Louis II will host, on December 8, the 29th edition of the Monaco International Judo Tournament. More than 100 judokas from all over Europe are expected.

Organized by the Monegasque Judo Federation, this event will also mark the 50th anniversary of the institution. On this occasion, the Gérard Bertrand Trophy, which has taken the name of the president of the association since 2015, will put fourteen teams of seven fighters in competition, one per weight category, and the first to win four fights will be declared the winner. The tournament will take place in a single-elimination format with automatic repechage.

For the occasion, the Gaston Médecin room will begin a transformation to accommodate the hundred judokas while it usually welcomes basketball players from the Roca Team. All the clashes will take place on the same day which will, without a doubt, be rich in intensity and emotion, in line with the atmosphere offered by the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
