The I National Youth Games advance – Colombian Olympic Committee

Starting the seventh day of competitions in the I National Youth Games, Training, emotion and competitiveness are more than present in an event that opens the doors for the sporting future, so several facts that these important events leave us can already highlight.

So far, 25 sports had action during the first six days of competition, where road cycling, diving, water skiing, artistic gymnastics, karate, wrestling, figure skating, surfing and beach volleyball completed their participation.

In addition, Bogotá leads the general medal table with a total of 74 medals (36 gold, 14 silver and 24 silver), followed by Antioquia with 92 medals (24 gold, 34 silver and 34 bronze) y Cauca Valley closes the national podium with 62 medals (23 gold, 21 silver and 18 bronze).

With the 32 departments present in the National Youth Games, 23 won a medal and, for now, those who did not get a medal are Guainía, La Guajira, Vaupés, Quindío, Arauca, Chocó, Caquetá, Putumayo and Guaviare.

Manuel Lopez (Antioquia), also in artistic gymnastics, has a total of six medals (three gold, one silver and two bronze) and is the second outstanding athlete. In turn, Daniela Verswyvel (water skiing) and Daniela Moncaris (surf) appear in the third national step with four medals (three gold and one silver) and Julian Gomez (archery) is also fourth with four medals (three gold and one bronze).
