The New York Knicks are still growing and in their visit to the Suns’ fiefdom they added their fourth consecutive victory by winning 138 to 122.
The team led by Tom Thibodeau is doing well with at least 130 points in the last two games, figures that have not been reached for 36 years.
In the first six games of the regular season they launched just 31 triples per game; However, they have taken a dramatic turn with nearly 40 attempts in their last eight games. Likewise, they moved into the top three of the NBA’s best three-pointers, behind only the Cavaliers and Warriors.
Last night the entire starting five scored at least two triples, and Cameron Payne and Tyler Kolek combined for three off the bench. In total they finished with 19/39 in the triple, which represents almost 40% success.
«The championship has changed and so has the playing philosophy. The players have changed too. They have evolved. And centers in particular are in demand more than ever,” acknowledged Karl Anthony-Towns.
«The game is totally different and we continue to adapt. At the moment this game philosophy (the triple) is having a lot of success. “Everyone is trying to win the championship,” he explained.
The Dominican dominated under the scoreboard with 34 points, 10 rebounds and two assists, being his 12th double-double of the season. Furthermore, he scored on 12/19 attempts, of which 3/8 were three-pointers.
It should be noted that Towns is averaging an impressive 51% on three-pointers, which is 7th best in the entire league.
Jalen Brunson added another double-double with 36 points and 10 assists, and all five of his starters contributed double-digit scorers, plus reserve Cameron Payne.

- AND Anunoby: 14 points and 7 rebounds.
