The Lakers suffered a very heavy defeat last night against Denver, led by an absolutely unstoppable Nikola Jokic in attack. Which also earned a certain LeBron James a lot of mockery after the final whistle…
THE Lakers are off to a good start to the season, still in the Top 4 of the Western Conference with 10 wins and six losses. However, it is difficult to be really confident about them when we see their difficulties in winning against the teams at the top of the table. We think in particular of the Magic who paid the band to LeBron James at the buzzer recently, via Franz Wagner.
Unfortunately, it didn’t stop there for them since the Californians suffered a real beating last night against the Nuggets (127-102). The craziest part of this story is that Los Angeles led by six points at the end of the first half… but lost the second by a score of 70-39, a complete collapse.
Not necessarily successful in this meeting, LeBron (17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists at 7/17 shooting) was therefore unable to do anything in the face of the carnage signed by Denver and more particularly Nikola Jokic. Back in action recently after an injury, the Serb crushed the Purples and Golds defense with 34 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists.

LeBron mocked after being dominated by Niko Jokic
As a result, the Chosen One was subject to a lot of mockery on social networks, with a post on X drawing particular attention to it:
@NBAMemes : LeBron spends $1.5 million a year on his body, all to be one win and thirteen losses against a big guy like Nikola Jokic 🤔
We know that the Joker doesn’t have the most athletic body in the league. Formerly obese, he is light years away from having a physique as sharp as the King who is nevertheless ten years older than him. On the other hand, that hasn’t stopped him from racing around the league for months, having won three MVP titles in four years. It goes to show that athletic qualities aren’t everything in the NBA and the Denver superstar is the ultimate proof.
Obviously, this speech did not please some Internet users who were Laker fans at all, who therefore immediately came to his defense:
@eatmorebrocklee : Jokic will not be able to play again in 20 years
@algorithmsayshi : Lol it’s to maintain your body after your NBA career. Once you hit puberty you will understand.
Nikola Jokic will likely be the face of the league in the first few years after LeBron James retires, whether we like it or not. The results of their confrontations on the courts illustrate this perfectly…
