Kazakhstani trainer and expert Almas Kulshinbaev listed the main problems of Kazakh football, Sports.kz reports with reference to Meta-ratings.kz.
— What is the main problem of Kazakh football at the moment?
— The first problem is infrastructure. The second is the development of children’s and youth football. Overall there is very little talent. This is connected to some extent with the foreign players who take the places of local football players. We ourselves came out of a youth sports school at one time; we were recruited all over Kazakhstan – from sports boarding schools, which, unfortunately, do not exist now. Every year new names appeared, but now this is not the case. Recently, one can only remember Maxim Samorodov from the Aktobe school.
