Jakarta – You know, there are materials whose price is surprising for very small sizes, even more expensive than the price of a carat of diamond. Grace Tahir explained that this object is expected to be the most valuable in the future.

The Chinese businessman stated that this object is a substance that is little known to many people. In fact, the price per gram is much more expensive than diamonds from Africa.
“It has a really good name, endohedral fullerenes. This substance is worth more than £100 million,” said Grace Tahir on Tuesday (11/19/2024), citing a short YouTube video.

This convinced IM that Reza Artamevia was selling synthetic diamonds.
According to Grace Tahir, one gram of endohedral fullerene costs IDR 2 billion (approximate exchange rate IDR 20,080). This means that one gram of endohedral fullerene is equivalent to six carats of diamond, which means that the price of a one-carat diamond from Diamond & Co is IDR 32.5 million.

“So it’s interesting, (the price is) £100m. Wow,” Grace Tahir added.
Grace Tahir points out that the use of endohedral fullerenes is related to space exploration activities. This substance, based on nitrogen atoms, is also useful for measuring time accurately, as it can be used to make very small clocks.
Furthermore, endohedral fullerenes can be used as an important technology in the operation of the GPS system to determine accurate navigation. In fact, this atom is capable of eliminating GPS blind spots.
Lucius Cary, director of the SEIS Technology Foundation at Oxford, said there would be many applications for endohedral fullerenes. This substance has the ability to drive a vehicle independently without colliding with other followed vehicles, maintaining a distance of 1 millimeter.
Endohedral fullerenes from various sources are the result of discoveries made by scientists at the University of Oxford. First discovered in 1985, endohedral fullerenes are spherical carbon nanostructures of 60 carbon atoms containing non-metal atoms or simple molecules such as nitrogen, phosphorus and helium.
First, the scientists produced endohedral fullerene and sold the first sample for IDR 442 million. Its size is only 200 micrograms, or a third of a human hair.
Endohedral fullerenes consist of a C60 fullerene cage with metal atoms inside. The unique electronic properties of endohedral fullerenes make them useful in a wide variety of applications, which also explains their exorbitant prices.
