As part of the Community Days in the run-up to the New York Giants‘ guest game against the Carolina Panthers in the Allianz Arena, a few lucky select people were able to attend the Panthers’ final training session. After a general warm-up, we went to the training ground on the FC Bayern Campus, where the young players were able to demonstrate their basic football techniques at several stations. The highlight of the event came at halftime of the station’s operation. After a euphoric welcome from the students, the Panthers stars took the opportunity to train at the stations themselves and give the youngsters a tip or two. Afterwards there was a group photo with the NFL professionals and some lucky children even got their hands on the stars’ hats or gloves. On Sunday you could see for yourself that the professionals also benefited from the training session with the children: They prevailed in an overtime drama in the Allianz Arena against the Giants from New York and, like the children, they became theirs The guest appearance in Munich will be remembered fondly.
