On Sunday 3 November, two young talents from ASD Arcieri dei Peuceti successfully participated in the interregional indoor tournament in Spongano, organized by ASD Arcieri del Basso Salento. The event, which took place a few kilometers from Santa Maria di Leuca, saw our archers stand out with high-level performances.
Petruzzellis Antonio won the gold medal in the Nude Bow specialty, Students category. Despite some initial technical difficulties, he finished the race in exceptional fashion with a score of 417 points. This result places him in 24th place in the national Ranking List of his category, bringing him closer to qualifying for the prestigious national Indoor tournament in Pordenone, scheduled for February, where the top 30 classified will enter.
De Vito Francesco Sofia obtained the silver medal in the Arco Olimpico specialty, Children’s category, establishing his personal record for the third time in a month with 479 points. This performance places him in 32nd place in the national ranking of his category, where the top 40 qualify for the Pordenone tournament.
These results testify to the commitment, perseverance and desire for continuous improvement of the young archers. Their success is the result not only of individual talent, but also of the support of the coaches, the entire ASD Arcieri dei Peuceti and the oratory of Santa Maria Maggiore.
The company expresses great satisfaction with the results obtained and continues to support its athletes on their journey towards increasingly ambitious goals. As the season continues, the wait grows to see if Petruzzellis and De Vito will be able to maintain or improve their positions, thus ensuring participation in the national tournament in Pordenone.
