Financial problems continue to grow in Karşıyaka Basketball. The green-reds, who had a minor problem in October due to delayed payments, later managed to find resources and resolve this problem. It was stated that the Izmir team, which entered a difficult period in November due to the payments not being made yet, sent a warning letter to the green-red club, 6 foreign players and 1 local player. Players who cannot receive their salaries regularly will have the right to be released if payment is not made within 5 business days after receiving a warning. It was stated that many players wanted to leave the club due to this financial instability.
Heavy punishment is at the door
Karşıyaka Basketball, which is going through a difficult period economically, continues to experience the most difficult days in its history. It was reported that the Izmir team had to pay 90 thousand dollars to FIBA by Friday, November 29. The green-red team needs to pay this month’s installment because the debts of their former players from the past periods have been restructured in FIBA. Otherwise, Karşıyaka Basketball will face a heavy penalty. While the Izmir team was looking for resources after this situation, it was learned that the green-red club urgently needed 21 million TL.
